Station of the Cross, Abong Abong, Columbato
The road to the top of the hill where the main cross is located. Along the way, on the right side of the road are the 14 station of the cross.In the 1980’s, the late Mayor Cesar C, Climaco fulfilled his dream of constructing the station of the cross on top of the hill by abong abong on the side of Mt. Columbato. During the Catholic holiday of Holy Week, thousands of people would gather to walk the 14 station of the cross to pray and meet friends. Each station of the cross is on the right side as one walks up the hill.
Many cyclists use this hill (scenic route) as part of their training routine. Once at the top of the hill many visitors will light a candle or two and say a little prayer.
